The event will honor and recognize Terri Alessi-Miceli, President of HIA-LI, the recognized voice for business on Long Island

The Suffolk Community College Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 1989 to raise money to support the mission of Suffolk County Community College, the largest community college in New York State. The scholarships awarded by the Foundation allow qualified students to pursue their education without taking on the burdens of significant financial obligations they are unable to afford.
Honorees for the Salute to Excellence Gala 2013 include: Robert A. Isaksen, President, Long Island, Bank of America (Industry Leadership Award); Terri Alessi-Miceli, President, HIA-LI (Community Partner Award); Mary Reid, Community Organizer (Community Leadership Award); Dr. David J. Steinberg, President, Long Island University (Excellence in Education Award).
