HIA-LI President to be Honored by Suffolk Community College Foundation

Terri Alessi-Miceli will be recognized at Salute to Excellence Gala to benefit the Foundation; Friday, April 5, 2013 at Oheka Castle, Huntington, NY.



    HAUPPAUGE, NY, March 19, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Suffolk Community College Foundation will host an evening of dancing, dining, entertainment and goodwill as it celebrates student success and the accomplishments of the College, its staff, faculty and friends. The event will honor and recognize Terri Alessi-Miceli, President of HIA-LI, the recognized voice for business on Long Island, among an elite group of business and community leaders. The black-tie gala event will be held Friday, April 5, 2013 at the prestigious Oheka Castle in Huntington, NY. The Suffolk Community College Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 1989 to raise money to support the mission of Suffolk County Community College, the largest community college in New York State. The scholarships awarded by the Foundation allow qualified students to pursue their education without taking on the burdens of significant financial obligations they are unable to afford.

Honorees for the Salute to Excellence Gala 2013 include: Robert A. Isaksen, President, Long Island, Bank of America (Industry Leadership Award); Terri Alessi-Miceli, President, HIA-LI (Community Partner Award); Mary Reid, Community Organizer (Community Leadership Award); Dr. David J. Steinberg, President, Long Island University (Excellence in Education Award).
