/24-7PressRelease/ - ARCANUM, OH, April 25, 2008 - Gather around the campsite at Roundeye Park, 8805 Painter Creek -Arcanum Road, May 17th and 18th and join the M tis Community and the Native American Indians for a fun weekend of traditional dancing, cuisine and other inspired items such as beaded jewelry, silver, storytelling and flute playing. Vendors open at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, and offer arts and crafts. Campers may arrive after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16th.
This history laden event will benefit the Shelter from Violence of Darke County, and the Family Abuse Shelter of Miami County.
The cost will be $20.00 per night for all campers. Dancers and Vendors no charge. No pets permitted. Service dogs allowed. Each camp site will host 1 tent and a maximum of 6 people. There are a few vendor spots left, so contact ASAP for a space.
Cost for the event if you bring a canned good:
Adults: $4.00; Children $3.00 (under age 12); Seniors: $3.00 (65 and over).
If you do not bring a canned good to donate, Adults, $5.00 and Children and Seniors, $4.00.
This event is Open to the Public.. Following the dancing, campers are invited to share campfires for folklore, story-telling, socializing, and trading jewelry or goods.
