/24-7PressRelease/ -- Despite the stormy weather, colleagues of Holiday Inn Melaka rolled up their corporate sleeves and took action to protect and improve the environment for future generations by participating in the global environmental campaign, Clean Up the World.
A total of 55 volunteers from Holiday Inn Melaka woke up as early as 5.30 in the morning and united to Clean Up Pantai Kemunting, Tanjung Bidara, Melaka, a hot spot for tourists and not forgetting turtles too.
"In celebration of our corporate social responsibilities, we would like to take this opportunity to work with the local community to contribute in saving the environment. We want our next generation to enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature and we would like to urge everyone to stop dumping rubbish especially plastic bags which are non- bio degradable as this will only harm the turtles and the entire sea creatures." speaking on behalf of Holiday Inn Melaka, General Manager - Christoph Voegeli expressed his appreciation for the extraordinary efforts of volunteers who have discovered international rubbish such as glass bottles, huge PVC luggage, balloons, cigarette boxes, shoes and Styrofoam lunch boxes too during the 5 hours beach clean up.

Clean up the World is generously supported by Holiday Inn Melaka and co joined by Bahagian Promosi Pelancongan, DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd, Majlis Perbandaran Alor Gajah, Pejabat Daerah dan Tanah Alor Gajah and Persatuan Chalet Negeri Melaka.
