Muskin, MD, of the new book HOW TO USE HERBS, NUTRIENTS, AND YOGA IN MENTAL HEALTH CARE (WW Norton, January 2009), will be interviewed by Sherry Anshara on the Conscious Healing Radio Show on the Internet, Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 5 pm PT/8 pm ET at achieveradio.com. Drs. Brown and Gerbarg will discuss how to use herbs, nutrients, and mind-body practices to enhance mental well-being, how to stay up when the economy is down, and how to emotionally and mentally support yourself, your family, and your friends through challenging times.
Dr. Brown, Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University in New York, is an internationally renowned expert on CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine). He gives over 200 medical lectures every year, including full-day courses for the American Psychiatric Association and other professional groups. He is a certified teacher of Aikido (4th Dan), Yoga, Qi Gong, and meditation. His workshops, sponsored by the non-profit, Serving Those Who Serve (www.STWS.org), help New Yorkers recover from the effects of the September 11th Word Trade Center Attacks.
Dr. Gerbarg, Associate Clinical Professor in Psychiatry at New York Medical College, graduated from Harvard Medical School and the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. She lectures on neuro-psychoanalysis, trauma, and integrative treatments at American Psychiatric Association meetings and other conferences. Dr. Gerbarg develops research projects on mind-body practices for relief of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder.
Sherry Anshara's Conscious Healing Radio Show explores all areas of alternative behavioral health. "One of our goals is to provide productive, practical information. We interview health care experts, and in this way we provide options for healing for the public," states Anshara.
Anshara, a medical intuitive, teaches Energy Medicine to health practitioners and to the public at her Quantum Pathic Center of Consciousness in Scottsdale, Arizona. She is the author of two wellness books, and numerous articles.
