Cambridge Who's Who
/Cambridge Who's Who/ - Costa Mesa, CA, April 26, 2008 - Holly Payne, Para Educator and Interpreter for the Deaf for the Orange County Department of Education, has been recognized by
Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of para education.
With 13 years of experience in her field, Ms. Payne's expertise is in training and teaching. As a para educator and interpreter for the deaf, her job involves working with deaf students in the classroom, maintaining the reading library and using TypeWell and C-Print to provide communication support for students. She is also involved in after-school sports programs and the ROP program. Ms. Payne attributes her success to her dedication. She became involved in her profession after she started taking sign language courses with her daughter. She then became involved with the school system as a volunteer.
Ms. Payne received her Associate of Arts in Communications for the Deaf from Golden West College in 1998. She is a Certified Interpreter for the Deaf through Golden West College. She is certified through the American Consortium of Certified Interpreters (now part of RID/NAD) and is certified in Educational Signs Skills Evaluation through the S.E.E. Center.
