Hon. Charles B. Stratford Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Juvenile Law

Hon. Charles B. Stratford hopes to share his litigation knowledge in the future



    LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, February 1, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Honorable Charles B. Stratford, former Judicial Referee for the Division of Judicial Office at the Los Angeles Superior Court, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in juvenile law.

With 39 years of experience in law, Judge Stratford is known by his peers for his expertise in presiding over juvenile cases. He was responsible for litigating juvenile cases and counseling children and youth on the dangers of alcohol and drug addiction. Prior to joining Los Angeles Superior Court, Judge Stratford served as an instructor at the Los Angeles Community College District from 1973 to 1986, following which he worked as an adjunct faculty member at National University from 1985 to 2000.

Throughout his professional career, Judge Stratford has worked hard to earn and update the qualifications relating to industry. Having earned a Bachelor of Arts in criminology from the University of Dayton in 1962, he earned a certification as an instructor in law, sociology, police science, public services and administration while earning a Master of Arts in Public Administration from the University of Southern California in 1974. He finally earned his JD from Thomas Jefferson University in 1976. Never one to slouch, he went on to become a Certified Chief Administrative Officer from the Board of Governors at California Community Colleges in 1979.

Judge Stratford also networks extensively through his memberships in a number of professional organizations. He holds memberships in the California Judges Association, American Judges Association, American Bar Association, and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.

The holder of a number of accolades in his field, he was honored with the International Certificate of Partnership from The Ronald Regan Presidential Foundation in 2011, was awarded the Congressional Order of Merit by the National Republican Congressional Committee in 2006 and 2007 and given the Flight 93 National Memorial Award in 2001. He also received a Commendation of Dedicated Service from Los Angeles County, Calif. in 1997. Last but certainly not least, Judge Stratford was honored with the Men of Achievement Award for the years 1972 through 2000.

Judge Stratford dedicates this honor to his two beautiful children, Eric and Lisa, and his wonderful wife of 26 years, Maria.
