Teaching at Kyungil University since 1981, Dr. Choi currently works as both a professor in the department of chemical engineering and a form director of the Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Technical Support Center. During his impressive tenure in teaching, Dr. Choi spent time as a visiting research professor at Yokohama National University from 1990 to 1991 while working toward his doctorate. Furthermore, Dr. Choi was also as a visiting researcher for the Japan Atomic Energy Agency from 2002 to 2003. Active as a member of the Polymer Society of Korea, the Korean Society of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry, and the Korean Institute of Chemical Engineers, Dr. Choi has also been a member and former president of the Membrane Society of Korea. Additionally, Dr. Choi served as an affairs manager for the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Regional Affairs for the Korean Institute of Chemical Engineers from 2013 to 2014.
The recipient of a 2014 Government Award by the Gyeongbuk Provincial, Dr. Choi was named to the 33rd edition of Who's Who in the World for 2016. Earning a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree at Yonsei University and a PhD at Dongguk University, he is happily married to his wife, Chonglim Lah.
