The
January winter sale will feature discounts on 369 hostels and budget hotels throughout 91 towns and cities in 28 countries, for travel booked between 7 - 31 January 2010 and completed before 31 March 2010.
The sale will offer deals on accommodation split into four categories;
adventure travel, beach holidays, cheap city breaks and
ski trips.
The most significant savings can be found in the city breaks category. At Ca' Contarini, in the often unaffordable Venice, rooms are available from just GBP1.79 pppn (90 percent off) while a stay at Vienna's Hotel Schild has 60 percent reductions on its usual prices.
Huge discounts are also available on beach holidays with the
Edgewater Backpackers in Nadi, Fiji, offering rooms from as little as GBP2.48 pppn- 40 percent less than its standard prices.
Travelers looking to escape the cold for the sunnier climes and adventure of Durban, South Africa, can find accommodation at Wavecrest Lodge, from GBP32.50 pppn.
In the ski trip category, Hotel Astoria in Bled, Slovenia, has accommodation from just GBP21.99 pppn (a 30 percent reduction).
14 of the properties participating in the sale will offer a discount of 40 percent on their normal prices, opening up New Year breaks to cities such as Athens, Florence, New York City, Paris, Port Elizabeth, Prague and Rome at a fraction of the usual costs.
