SCOTTSDALE, AZ, February 11, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- This summer, from July 19 - 22, 2010, HSBCAMPS will hit the courts of Saguaro High School in Scottsdale for the first time with four-day Morning Clinics and Day Camps geared towards teaching and developing the fundamentals of basketball to boys and girls in grades K-12. From group drills and individual skill development, to team competitions and guest lectures, players will participate in instructional work with the HSBCAMPS staff, comprised of collegiate and professional coaches and players.

Since its inception in 2007, HSBCAMPS has prided itself as a youth basketball program that gives back. With more than $25,000 raised to date, HSBCAMPS stands firm in its commitment to provide every child, regardless of age or income, with an opportunity to attend camp. And this year, the roster at HSBCAMPS will include more than just an all-star line-up of coaches, it will also include a newly formed non-profit partner, HSBCARES, INC. Currently in the "application stage" with 1023/3500 forms filed with the federal government and State of California, respectively, HSBCARES is dedicated to raising and providing scholarship money for underprivileged youths to attend summer basketball camps, supporting and establishing programs that work with children with mental and physical disabilities, and providing funds for public schools and other non-profit entities with vital basketball necessities (balls, baskets, shooting aids, videos, etc.) that they would otherwise not be able to afford. At the end of the Scottsdale camp, a portion of net proceeds will be donated back to Saguaro High School, with the remaining donated to the HSBCARES fund.

The HSB family is also proud to announce its global partnership with the not-for-profit organization, HOOPS 4 HOPE (H4H), of South Africa and Zimbabwe. H4H is a leader in providing sustainable and innovative programs for the empowerment and positive change of youth in disadvantaged communities through basketball, skills and life programs in southern Africa. Every year, H4H gives more than 10,000 school-age children in South Africa and Zimbabwe a better chance to beat the odds in communities plagued by poverty, HIV/AIDS, drugs and crime.

In addition to Scottsdale, the nationally expanding youth basketball camp will also be serving up high scoring experiences in Chula Vista, Calif.; Boise, Idaho; Hailey, Idaho; Bend, Ore.; Portland, Ore.; Park City, Utah; and Seattle, Wash.
