ROCHESTER, NY, February 10, 2012
/24-7PressRelease/ -- Attendance was up 20%, surpassing expectations, at last weekend's 30th Annual Rochester Boat Show at the Riverside Convention Center. "Boaters were in a buying mood," said David Heimes, show manager, "and every dealer reported sales." The clement weather last weekend was a plus, he added.
Thirteen boat dealers and more than 30 small vendors teamed up to participate in the show, which was also a fundraiser for Hunter's Hope, a charity which funds research for Krabbe Disease an related Leukodystophies. Part of the proceeds from every boat sold at the show went to the charitable organization.
For the third year in a row, the Rochester Boat Show utilized D.P. Ball Advertising to coordinate the show, including press releases, media scheduling and production. D.P. Ball orchestrated banner ads on boating websites, a pay-per-click campaign, and redesigned the show's website, adding additional links and a complete SEO overhaul to improve the site's efficiency. Working with the agency enabled the dealers to save a considerable amount of money, compared to contracting with a standard show organizer.
