"Medico de Familia" magazine has announced that noted ear, nose and throat surgeon Alex Moreano will be a contributing writer and consulting physician when the publication launches its premier edition in January 2007.

    /24-7PressRelease/ - NEW YORK, NY, December 14, 2006 - "Medico de Familia" magazine has announced that noted ear, nose and throat surgeon Alex Moreano will be a contributing writer and consulting physician when the publication launches its premier edition in January 2007.

Dr. Moreano, who has a private practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was featured in the acclaimed documentary "As the Call, So the Echo," which traces the doctor's humanitarian efforts working with poor patients in Hue, Vietnam.

"We are grateful for the participation of a number of distinguished Hispanic doctors who contribute their guidance and advice as writers for Medico de Familia. And we are thrilled to have a physician of Dr. Moreano's caliber and commitment joining us in our premier issue. About Medico de Familia
The magazine is a collaboration between the Interamerican College of Physicians and Surgeons (ICPS), the most prominent association of U.S. Hispanic physicians, founded in 1979 to advance the professional and educational needs of its membership, and Parlante Inc. a New York-based company experienced in publishing solutions targeting the Hispanic market. An initial qualified monthly circulation of 60,000 will be distributed at over 20,000 medical clinics located in the major Hispanic DMA's.
