SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, April 06, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Underemployment is defined as a situation where people are working fewer hours than they would like, or are forced to take jobs that fail to utilise their skill sets, and in Australia, it's fast becoming a dangerous problem.

Professor John Buchanan from the University of Sydney business school recently highlighted that the number of people who are underemployed had increased from about 176,000 in the late 1970s to 1.1 million, according to figures released by ABS.

Experts believe that the underemployment problem in the country is growing due to companies creating more part time roles the offer little to no structure. Regarding skills, many companies across the country are also not hitting the mark when it comes to allowing their workers to upskill and progress within their industries.

Hunter Bailey, a Sydney-based sales and marketing firm is seriously concerned by the rising rate of underemployment and has revealed that they are taking steps to tackle the problem. The company is offering a number of exciting freelance and contracted opportunities, which are allowing people the freedom to work as many hours as they want, and invest their time into self-development and professional progression.

Alongside the benefits of flexible working opportunities, Hunter Bailey has also created an optional development plan for their workforce - which provides daily structured tasks, workshops and guidance to help them build on their existing skill sets and gain new talents to help them fast track their success within the sales and marketing industry. The aim of this development plan is to assist their freelancers and contractors in laying the right foundations to start their own businesses in the future.

Hunter Bailey provides clients with a first class service that increases their customer base. The firm has a workforce of highly professional sales and marketing representatives in place, which bring the human interaction back into marketing strategies.
