In a recent opportunity meeting Hunter Bailey revealed their tips on how to become an entrepreneur:
1. Don't tell anyone about your ideas - People are only interested in results, so get started on the actions that will move you closer to achieving your goals. It can be detrimental to confidence if your inner circle is less than optimistic about your ideas potential.
2. Get a written plan - "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail." Take the time to create an action plan, and it is important to start with a vision, including why the idea holds personal value. Keep this somewhere that is visible daily to inspire action.
3. Throw out that list of excuses - Become accountable for the business and ditch any reasons as to why the idea won't work. Instead, focus on flipping the reasons it won't work on ways to make it work. Entrepreneurship requires a person to be solution orientated, and there will be times when things won't be going to plan, and this mindset will help develop a solution.
4. Do the work - Set aside the excuses and get down to the nitty gritty. Focus on getting through that to do list ensuring each task is complete. Begin building the culture in which other will be inspired in the future.
5. Finish what you started - Yes there are risks, but if the vision and goals are big enough surely the risk is worth it. Developing a successful business
is a continual process, treat each project as a chapter of a novel. Make sure the conclusion inspires people to continue the journey.
