/24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert Lincoln, an attorney at the law firm Icard, Merrill, Cullis, Timm, Furen & Ginsburg, P.A., has been appointed to the New College of Florida board of trustees. The term will last three years. In addition to this honor, he has also been appointed to a one-year term as chairman of the board of directors of the New College Alumni Association.

A member of Icard Merrill since 2004, Mr. Lincoln represents public and private clients in all aspects of the land development process, with a focus on complex land use and zoning approvals and litigation. He has been published extensively on land use issues and is the author of the state's first land-use related legal blog, which may be found at: http://flalandlaw.blogspot.com. Prior to joining the Florida Bar in 1994, Mr. Lincoln's career was distinguished by a broad academic and professional background, including teaching at Florida State Atlantic and Michigan State University. He received a bachelor's degree in Political Science from New College of Florida, a Master of Science in Planning from Florida State University, and a J.D. with high honors from Florida State University College of Law. A longtime resident of Sarasota, Lincoln has served as the director of the New College Alumni Association since 1997.
