/24-7PressRelease/ - /24-7PressRelease/ - Willingboro, NJ, June 29, 2008, Ida Hammond, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees (Retired) for Thomas Edison State College, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in literacy program administration.

Ms. Hammond has 34 years of experience in education and is skilled in monitoring and overseeing educational programs, as well as developing literacy programs. Before her retirement, Ms. Hammond was an integral part of her department at the New Jersey State Department of Education, where she wrote grants and corrected problems with programs. While working for the New Jersey State Department of Education, Division of General Academics, she oversaw their personnel, research, library management and clerical supervision operations.

Ms. Hammond received her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Humanities from Thomas Edison State College in 1978 and completed coursework at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She served as president of the Alumni Association and is a Former Board Member of the Academic Counsel and the Foundation Board of Thomas Edison State College. She is also affiliated with Volunteers of America, People to People International, National Association for Female Executives and Literacy Volunteers of America (Now ProLiteracy Worldwide).
