/24-7PressRelease/ - CHARLOTTE, NC, June 20, 2006 - Ideas Squared is proud to announce that Jay Joyce has been elected to the board of directors of the Greater Carolinas Red Cross Chapter for a 2-year term beginning July 1, 2006.
"This is an exciting opportunity to really become more involved in the wonderful work that our local Red Cross Chapter does for Charlotte and surrounding communities," said Joyce. "After working with the Atlanta Chapter for several years as their creative marketing agency, we have some strong credentials and unique experiences to offer this great Charlotte Chapter."
In addition to serving on the board of directors, Joyce will chair the Chapter's Marketing Committee, which is made up of community volunteers and Chapter team members. The purpose of the marketing committee is to generate plans of action that help drive the Chapter's messaging to the Greater Charlotte region.
"The Greater Carolinas Chapter has a long history of service to thousands of neighbors in our community," added Joyce. "It is indeed an honor and a privilege to be able to join the many members of our community who volunteer their time, money and resources to keep the Red Cross mission alive here locally."
The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. The Greater Carolinas Chapter serves our growing community here in Charlotte, Lake Norman and Statesville.
