Inaugural New Hope for Parkinson's disease Cruise.

    SARASOTA, FL, July 31, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- On January 8, 2010 the Norwegian Sky will depart from the Port of Miami to set sail on a 3-day cruise for Parkinson's disease patients. This cruise will be like no other cruise. When the Norwegian Sky leaves the dock, an extraordinary trip will begin. On the boat, 300 passengers will embark on a journey not only to the Bahamas, but also on a journey to learn, to share, and to HOPE.

The Parkinson Research Foundation is proud to present the Inaugural New Hope for Parkinson's Cruise. This cruise will include not only an opportunity to socialize with a community of those affected by this disease, but the passengers will also be invited to attend lectures by Parkinson's clinicians and researchers, support group meetings, rehabilitation sessions, and wellness sessions.

The Parkinson Research Foundation is a nonprofit health organization providing Parkinson's research, information and advocacy. PRF is an IRS recognized 501(c)3 organization and contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permited by law.
The mission of the organization is to cure Parkinson's and to improve the lives of all people affected by the disease.

To fulfill this mission, the Parkinson Research Foundation will fund research, publish scientific findings, provide funding for information and other services to people with Parkinson's, their families, health care professionals and the public. The Foundation also expects to be actively involved in advocating for scientific research and for the rights of people with Parkinson's disease

The money raised by the Foundation funds research, information programs, and advocacy and awareness efforts that will support the over one million people with Parkinson's in communities across America.
