She later worked for Burson-Marsteller, where Kay was an Executive Vice President and Managing Director responsible for the firm's U.S. investor relations practice. She developed investor relations programs for a variety of companies nationally and internationally.
Kay went on to become President and CEO of Ludgate Communications New York, an international investor relations firm that she started in 1993. Ludgate Communications built a strong international practice working with European and Latin American clients as well as working in the technology field.
Kay's experience covers a wide range of complex shareholder relations issues involving mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, initial public offerings, ADR programs, annual shareholder meetings, strategic targeting, and above all, positioning domestic and international companies within the North American capital markets.
During her educational career, Kay earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics, graduating with honors from New York University. She has been a featured lecturer at the American Stock Exchange, New York University, Investment Management Institute, American Management Association, Public Relations Society of America and the National Investor Relations Institute. She is also the author of numerous articles for business publications.
Kay has served as the National President of the National Investor Relations Institute and as President of the NIRI New York Chapter. She also sat on the Board of Directors of NIRI, as well as the First Women's Bank. Kay was elected to the YWCA Academy of Women Achievers and is a member of the Americas Society and the International Advisory Council. She is listed in Who's Who in Finance.
