/24-7PressRelease/ - ST. LOUIS, MO, August 24, 2007 - Industrial Vision Corporation, the only occupational lens safety manufacturer in the Midwest offering full service eye safety programs and eye protection products, announces a new program featuring specially designed frames and prescription lenses for those who operate forklifts and related equipment.

The program is designed for forklift operators often burdened by side shields and frames that interrupt and limit their peripheral vision. These frames cause an obstruction as drivers must frequently turn their head to see objects on their side and rear. The result is not only reduced vision but also more neck and back strain. IVC's Rx safety frames solve that problem by featuring a wider uninterrupted field of vision, a higher earpiece design and molded integrated side shields, all designed to help drivers improve visual acuity and on-the-job performance.

"Safety directors have frequently inquired about products that can help forklift operators improve their vision," said John Stewart, IVC's President. "They see these drivers straining to see objects at various perspectives. Current safety frame designs merely get in the way and hinder these operators from doing their job. Our new frames are especially designed for forklift operators, so they can eliminate a lot of those head turns, improve their vision and their productivity."

Stewart said IVC provides a "vision safety sheet" listing additional suggestions on how to improve forklift operator vision. The safety sheet is included with the purchase of each pair of forklift safety glasses. An IVC vision safety specialist can help customers find ANSI Z87.1 approved safety glasses that maximize vision for forklift operators. Customers can call 800-264-1941 or purchase forklift frames and lenses online at the IVC website. http://www.industrialvisioncorp.com.
