The discussion centered on profiting in the current real estate market. The real estate investing market has taken its lumps in recent months due to the subprime lending issues and general tightening in many real estate markets.
Five of the leading experts in real estate investing came together for an unprecedented event on September 15, 2007. Andy Heller, Don Derosa, Justin Ryan, Rich Desich and Wright Davis provided their insight into the current market. Each panelist was optimistic about the current market for real estate investors but warned they must use the proper strategies that provide the correct positioning in this market.
Justin Ryan, emerging real estate market expert, shared his enthusiasm for many regional markets including the Biloxi, MS area encouraging real estate investors to look outside of their markets and focus on the fundamentals. Andy Heller in turn suggested now is the time buy undervalued real estate and hold it for cash flow and future gains. Rich Desich reminded investors that now is the time to get creative with financing options and utilize self directed retirement plans as a means of funding for projects. Don Derosa's closing comments seemed to be on point as he reiterated that now is the time to purchase real estate for investment purposes but most importantly find a niche strategy and stick with it.
