Inferno Set to Reveal Feature Film "Missing William" at Cannes Film Market

Sleeper independent film "Missing William" being shopped at Cannes Film Market alongside Brad Pitt's "Killing Them Softly" and Mark Whalberg and Russell Crowe's "Broken City".

LOS ANGELES, CA, May 16, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Aloris Entertainment announced today that Inferno Entertainment will begin international sales for their completed independent feature Missing William at the upcoming Cannes Film Market. Inferno brings an impressive slate to this year's Cannes Film Market, including Brad Pitt's new caper, Killing Them Softly, and the new Mark Wahlberg, Russell Crowe crime thriller, Broken City.

Missing William is being described by Inferno as a dramatic thriller with romantic undertones. The film stars Brandon Routh (SUPERMAN RETURNS, SCOTT PILGRIM vs. THE WORLD), Courtney Ford (TRUE BLOOD, DEXTER), Reid Scott (VEEP, THE BIG C) and Spencer Grammer, and was produced by John Santilli of Aloris Entertainment (THE ENGLISH TEACHER), Matthew Chausse of Mirabelle Pictures (DARK TIDE, THE ENGLISH TEACHER), Kendra Robichaud, and penned by Dan McKinnon, with Kenn MacRae (THE VIEW FROM GREENHAVEN) directing.

The story examines the delicate topic of love that lives through loss, and follows Abby (Ford), a talented artist caring for her husband William after he's tragically injured in a bar fight. As she attempts to coax him back to health something remains oddly amiss as James (Routh), her childhood sweetheart and unrequited love, attempts to coax her back into living life again for herself. The complicated love triangle that ensues is touching, poignant, and concludes with a realization that's as profound as it is beautiful.

The film marks LA-based Australian writer-director Kenn MacRae's second feature after winning PROJECT GREENLIGHT AUSTRALIA with his brother in 2006 and directing THE VIEW FROM GREENHAVEN, which had a nine-month release in Australia and New Zealand. "This is MacRae's US theatrical directing debut, and we couldn't have been more pleased with the film he's delivered," said Santilli. "I've been on a lot of film sets, and I can tell you that from the start, this was one of those rare projects that everyone knew was going to be special." MacRae is repped by Brian Levy at New School Media, who's currently packaging MacRae's original thriller BAPTISM.

Aloris Entertainment is a limited liability company established for the purpose of producing quality independent feature films. Formed in early 2010, by Dan McKinnon and John Santilli, Aloris focuses on creating independent films with a Major Studio feel and wide market appeal.
