The Cube Station CS407 is a compact, low cost 4 drive SATA NAS server that offers up to 4TB of storage capacity (utilizing 1TB drives) and is capable of RAID levels 0/1/5/6. Synology's famous AJAX-based embedded Disk Station Manager (DSM) 2.0 NAS management software allow the CS407 to overtake tasks that traditionally require a PC based server; including website hosting, stand-alone file downloading with remote file management, surveillance video recording/viewing from IP cameras installed on the network, and much more. The CS407 is at home on Windows—û, Macintosh—û, and Linux based networks. The CS407 supports Windows ADS authentication, encrypted network backup, encrypted FTP with hack-prevention, and many other features including cool & quiet design.
