/24-7PressRelease/ - GRANTS PASS, OR, May 01, 2008 - In a grass-roots push to publicize the online auction site they now call home, members of online auction site OnlineAuction.com (OLA.com) are holding a Rummage Sale. The sale which will run from May 1st through May 7th features name brands, antiques, collectibles and miscellany, all of which will start at 99 cents with no reserve!
The ambitious OLA members, many of who came to the site from industry giant eBay, came up with the idea themselves, organized it themselves and sold the idea to more than 300 of their fellow members who have all pledged to list at least 10 items. Spokespersons say that many of the sellers will be listing much more and that a special category has been created just for the sale.
Their unusual tactic came as no surprise to CEO Chris Fain who has come to expect site members to show initiative. Fain says, "Thanks to our members OnlineAuction.com is experiencing the fastest rate of growth ever." OLA has rewarded their efforts by donating two new Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop computers to the sale. All money earned from the auction of these two laptops will be donated to charity - St. Jude Hospital.
OLA has no listing or selling fees. Sellers join for a low monthly or yearly fee and may have direct contact with buyers. Feedback remains a two-way street.
