Frazier has created a new inspirational lifestyle column for women of color, titled "Fly Butterfly!" which is featured on Mahogany Butterfly, the popular web community for women. Frazier is also the writer and creator of a new blog, "Mocha Beauty Goes Green" - a natural and non-toxic lifestyle blog for all mocha beauties.
With the creation of the monthly column, "Fly Butterfly!" DuEwa Frazier hopes to empower women through columns which address self esteem, spirituality, personal transformation, career related issues and more. Emphasis is placed on discovering creative ways to get the most out of your life and unique talents. From time to time the column may feature news and resources related to health, fitness, beauty, and entertainment.
Frazier says of her new blog, "Mocha Beauty Goes Green is going to give simple tips on what we can do as beautiful, aspiring, smart and creative women to 'go green' and still live a fabulous life filled with all of the things that make us feel good about ourselves. It's about starting where you are right now with what you have. Each one of us can do something, one or two small things to make a difference in the way we live." Frazier has been studying natural living for several years and recently became inspired to learn more about organic, non-toxic and eco-conscious living.
Frazier has a great interest in women's health and well being and was inspired at a young age by various women writers and artists. Through her column and new blog, Frazier hopes to connect with new readers and women who have an interest in non-toxic, empowerment living.
DuEwa Frazier is the author of two volumes of inspirational and favorably reviewed poetry (Stardust Tracks on a Road and Shedding Light From My Journeys) and the editor/publisher of the 2007 NAACP Image Award nominated publication, Check the Rhyme: An Anthology of Female Poets & Emcees. She earned degrees from Hampton University (B.A.) and Fordham University (M.S.Ed.).
