YORK, PA, November 24, 2008
/24-7PressRelease/ -- Institute St. Onge has expanded its mission and is relaunching itself as an adviser to the financial community that plans investment in supply chain infrastructure.
"If you Google supply chain investment adviser, you won't find it," said Jim Reeb, the Institute's president.
"To our knowledge, no one offers services exclusively as a supply chain infrastructure investment adviser. It is a service that is lacking given the global economy and its reliance on many supply chains. The Institute St. Onge will fill this gap."
The Institute focuses on three areas:
• Investment Advisory Services. The Institute will assist investors in finding or evaluating investment opportunity in emerging supply chain technologies and infrastructure projects.
• Applied Research and Planning. Public and private funded research which includes grant-related projects and partnering with government and educational institutions to identify trends in supply chain infrastructure, emerging technologies and logistics campus master planning.
• Education & Training. This includes an expansion of its Internet portal, publishing and speaking in addition to its work-force training for individual companies or communities. This would include, for example, supply chain management, material handling training and warehouse management expertise.
"We can now mine the Institute's intellectual capital and engineering expertise for meaningful data that has relevant market application while maintaining the strictest client confidentiality," Reeb said. "As an investment adviser, this gives us an inside view and a breadth of unusual perspective when we discuss supply chain infrastructure investments.
"Because we have access to experts who have operated successfully in the supply chain operations research and engineering field for more than 25 years, we often have access to information about a potential and emerging trends before they reach the public domain."
The Institute offers a Web portal on a subscription basis. It will post White Papers and conference presentations to the Web site which will be available to the public.
