Integrated Microwave Technologies Adds 6.5GHz Support and a Triple Play 1RU Receiver to Its RFCentral microLite Family

Integrated Microwave Technologies (IMT) adds 6.5GHz support and Triple Play 1RU receiver allowing broadcasters to cut the HD-SDI cable between the camera and the Electronic News Gathering (ENG)/Satellite News Gathering (SNG) truck for good.

MT. OLIVE, NJ, November 19, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Integrated Microwave Technologies, "IMT", announced today that it has added 6.5-7.1GHz to the RFCentral-branded microlite product family and a Triple Play 1RU microlite receiver. These new products allow broadcasters to cut the HD-SDI cable between the camera and the Electronic News Gathering (ENG)/Satellite News Gathering (SNG) truck for good.

IMT is a leader in advanced digital microwave video systems serving the Military & Government, Broadcast and Sports Entertainment markets. Headquartered in Mt. Olive, NJ IMT serves customers globally through its "IMT", "Nucomm" and "RF Central" brands.

"Everyone at IMT is excited to be a part of Skyview capital. This will allow IMT/Nucomm to return to its nimble, entrepreneurial, engineering-driven heritage," says John Payne, IMT CTO. To this end, IMT has successfully launched two new microLite products in November. The successful RF Central-branded microLite family of products now includes a 1 RU receiver designed to simplify its integration into ENG/SNG vehicles and a 6.5GHz microlite transmitter and receiver.

The microLite Triple Play receiver chassis houses up to three microLite receivers within a single 1RU rack mount unit. This allows simultaneous reception from three roving cameras. Each microLite receiver has an independent control panel further simplifying its control. Each receiver has an HD-SDI, ASI and IP, making it flexible for ASI repeater applications, local monitoring and IP controls.

The microLite is now available in the 6.5/7.1GHz bands. It covers both the 6.5Ghz and 7.1GHz BAS licensed frequency bands. The microLite is available in all three classic mounting configurations including: hot shoe, AB and V-clip mounts, making it easy to integrate onto all camera types.

Rick Bigelow, IMT CEO and SVP at Skyview Capital added, "We are very excited to launch these new, innovative RF products. We are actively looking to grow the IMT platform organically and inorganically."

Skyview Capital LLC recently acquired IMT from Vitec Group, plc. The asset purchase agreement was signed November 3, 2014 with a simultaneous closing. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
