Although all three vendors are high scoring, their clients report that they have varied strengths. Seventy-four providers gave their feedback concerning Capsule's DataCaptor, Cerner's iBus, and iSirona's DeviceConX performance and connection/reporting capability for this research study.
MDIS technology was noted to increase quality and efficiency in three ways: It improves physiological monitoring accuracy by automating documentation, gives clinicians more time to spend on patient care, and gives physicians the ability to view logged data for trending and other clinical analysis. Sixty-six percent of respondents reported that this automation saves time and provides the ability to make more informed decisions concerning patient care using the tools and the trending data that MDIS technology captures and presents.
