Kenneth Hari and Dr Ralph Stanley
/24-7PressRelease/ - ATLANTIC CITY, NJ, April 22, 2008 - Kenneth Hari, international portraitist, best known for fifty years of transforming images of world-renowned celebrities into masterpieces, began the praliminary sitting on April 10th with the Legendary Bluegrass and Mountain Music "Godfather" Dr Ralph Stanley of Virginia. Dr. Ralph Stanley was the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame Honoree in1991 and 2000, a Multiple Grammy winner and recipient of The National Medal of Arts presented to him in 2006.
Dr. Stanley's 24"x 30" portrait, scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2008, will be in the permanant collection of the Dr. Ralph Stanley Museum in Clintwood, Virginia and part of The Kenneth Hari Hitoric Portrait Collection. Mr. Hari's portraits are in permanent collections at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C.; the Vatican Museum, Rome; at Rutgers University, N.J.the National Gallery, Sophia, Bulgaria; Virginia Military Institute, Va; and the National Portrait Gallery, London, England.
Kenneth hari, who has been called a "Canvas Marvel" and "The greatest Living Artist of the 21st Century" by Poet Paul Roche. Believes in the tradition of portraiture which preserves, records and contributes to our on-going history of Mankind. His subjects are renowned celebrities in science, medicine, education, arts entertainment, and business as well as many in various fields which represent our next generation. Amonst those he has painted and spent memorable hours are James Earl Jones, Dolly Parton, Norman Rockwell, Paul Robeson, Dustin Hoffman, Pablo Casals, and Gene Kelly.
