/24-7PressRelease/ - SAN DIEGO, CA, July 15, 2008 - Appeal Media was honored by the Academy for its website design of Somagensis Fitness, a full service personal training company headquartered in San Diego. Over 9,000 entries were considered for a handful of the 2008 Communicator Awards.

"An award of this magnitude is such an honor," said Tracy Ochoa, co-founder of Appeal Media. "It's one thing for us to think we have outstanding work, but when the best in the industry say you have outstanding work, that's validation."

This year's Communicator Award nominees were judged by more than 200 members of the IAVA representing media and advertising firms including Condè Nast, Coach, Disney, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Estee Lauder, Fry Hammond Barr, HBO, Monster.com, MTV, and more. According to the IAVA, websites were reviewed for creativity, function, and overall design.

Ochoa adds, "Somagensis Fitness' website uses compelling flash elements, easy to navigate sections, and well displayed information. Many elements made the website award winning."

The Communicator Award is Appeal Media's ___ recognition for the IAVA. The firm has also won Webbys, Davey Awards, and Create magazine distinctions in its 10-year existence.
