/24-7PressRelease/ -- The Society for Technical Communication (STC) named both Radcom President, Bob Dianetti of Stow, Ohio and Radcom Vice-President, Jill McCauslin of Hudson, Ohio as Associate Fellows, one of the highest ranks that the Society confers upon a member. This honor was presented at the STC annual conference in Atlanta, GA on May 5.
Candidates for this honor are nominated by members and must have at least 15 years of experience in technical communication and have been a member for at least 10 years. Recipients have attained eminence in the field of technical communication through achievements and contributions to the profession and Society.
"The accomplishments of Associate Fellows reflect a breadth of achievement that has benefitted the Society and our profession enormously," STC President Cindy Currie explained.
Dianetti is founder and President of Radcom, Inc., a technical communication and training development consulting company in Hudson, Ohio founded in 1996. He currently serves on a committee in support of the STC International Conference and recently served as Region 4 Director. He has been a member of the Northeast Ohio chapter of STC (NEO STC) for over twelve years. Other positions Dianetti has held in NEO STC include Board Member on the Governance Committee, Chair of the Bylaws Sub-committee, President, Vice President, Membership Director, Corporate Sponsor Chair, and Communications Chair. Bob was also the recipient of the Distinguished Chapter Service Award (2001) and the Volunteer of the Year Award (2000). As a conference speaker, Bob has addressed the 2001 STC Region 6 Conference, the 2000 STC Region 4 Conference, the 1999 Northeast Ohio TechniCom, and presented a national STC webinar in the fall of 2006.
McCauslin is a Vice President for Radcom and is in charge of human resources. She has over 17 years of experience in writing for business and industry and has served as president and other board level positions for NEO STC. McCauslin won a Distinguished Chapter Service Award in 2003 and was chapter president in 2001-2002. In 2004, she received a Continued Service Award for developing and executing networking lunches. For the 2005-2006 term, she served on the NEO STC membership committee and helped organize a highly successful membership drive. Since 2006, she has been active with programs such as networking lunches. McCauslin has also spoken at STC international conferences, regional conferences, and chapter meetings. She helped organize three TechniCom conferences, two of which were regional conferences, and was a judge for the scholarship for NEO STC in 2008 and 2009.
