/24-7PressRelease/ - Somerset, UK, September 20, 2008 - Well known frequency products brand IQD has recently returned to the market after a ten-year absence. The Somerset based manufacturer has been owned and operated since 1998 by various larger companies including C-MAC and, more recently, Rakon. However, a recent management buy-in/buy-out (BIMBO) led by previous managing director Paul Fear and finance director Duncan Ralph has resulted in the reintroduction of the IQD brand, under the company name of IQD Frequency Products Ltd.

The IQD business, which originally started in 1973, offers a comprehensive range of frequency control products, including quartz crystals, crystal oscillators, programmable oscillators, VCXOs, TCXOs, TCVCXOs, OCXOs and rubidium frequency standards. IQD is well known by customers for its annual data book, which runs to 300+ pages.

Paul Fear commented: 'It is fantastic to be back at IQD after all this time. We have a great team of people here and ambitious growth plans for the business going forward. The new management team is planning significant investment in all areas of the business.'

The business retains a close working partnership with Rakon and will continue to offer its customers Rakon's extensive range of high-quality frequency control products. The Rakon range addresses the telecommunications, GPS and other market sectors and includes Semtech, Zarlink and many GPS chipset approved solutions.

IQD will again be exhibiting at the Electronica Exhibition in Munich from 11th to 14th November, and looks forward to welcoming customers old and new to its stand: number 264 in hall B6.
