Irina Akimova, Expert Council, Russian Gas Society, and Corresponding Member, Academy of Technological Sciences, Russia will be joining the esteemed speaker panel for the conference, where she will present her views on pipelines - the pulse of economic growth.
With over 12 years experience in energy economics, Irina has been actively involved in the elaboration of laws and economic and fiscal incentives for the development of the Russian gas industry. In 2009 she was also elected as the Corresponding Member for the section Gas Industry Technologies, at the Academy of Technological Sciences of Russian the Federation.
In an exclusive pre-event interview Irina explained the relevance of her topic, "Pipelines being the pulse of economic growth with its challenges, public-private partnerships, administrative and economic drivers are the topics I would be addressing. Pipelines market is huge. They are the energy and subsequent economic drivers for any nation. There have been quite a few pipeline projects like the South Stream Pipeline Project, Nabucco Pipeline project which have been extensive and proven that once their benefits reach households and consumers, it drives economy to a huge extent. China has been a major driver in providing solid technical solutions to pipeline projects. More of such solutions will enhance competition and bring down pipeline costs due the availability of choices for the consumer and companies."
Irina believes that the sharing of technical solutions and the opportunity to interact with experts across the world will greatly benefit the delegates attending this event.
