Isplora Launches New Continuing Education Platform for Exploring Italy through its Contemporary Architecture

A source of news, inspiration and AIA accredited training for architects and enthusiasts across the world.

NEW YORK, NY, February 11, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Isplora's new online education platform encourages us to explore the world around us by offering high quality video documentaries on the finest contemporary Italian architecture, as well providing the latest news, photos and details of events in its daily 'Digest'. Each video lesson is recognized by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) to offer continuing professional development credits.

"With the advent of online learning, the potential of providing the means of exploring Italian architecture to anybody interested in architecture and Italy has exploded, but too frequently the results are uninspiring. A beautiful country deserves a beautiful articulation," says Gregg Brodarick, Isplora President and member of the AIA European Chapter. "Isplora's rich, evocative video documentaries provide lessons on some of Italy's most distinguished contributions to contemporary architecture, making it easy and enjoyable to earn professional accreditation, or simply deepen your appreciation of this exceptional country."

From the comfort of your own sofa, you can learn about the latest Italian architecture through high quality, edu-tainment style documentaries as well as earn AIA professional development accreditation by completing the follow up questionnaire. Each video lesson provides an immersive experience of the evolution of a new building, transporting you to Italy, inside the buildings, and alongside the architects. There are new lessons every month, each focusing on a key theme: uncovering the link between architecture and its environment, the use of traditional Italian building materials as well as new high-tech approaches to sustainability, structural design and aesthetics.

Not just a formal training program, Isplora is also an online platform providing dedicated Italian news and events along with ideas and inspiration that individuals can apply to their own work. There are daily updates with interviews, descriptions and photos of new projects, products and materials covering the best of Italian design, architecture and Made in Italy; and when all eyes are on Italy this summer with EXPO Milan 2015, Isplora will provide a prominent window on the latest developments, designs and features direct from the EXPO site. With Isplora 'Digest', professional architects as well as design enthusiasts across the world can stay up to date with everything happening in the capital of design.

"The Isplora project was born out of a passion for everything Italy has to offer; for Italian culture, Italian style and, most importantly, Italian design," adds Brodarick. "The history of Italian architecture is, without doubt, one of the foundations of an architect's training wherever they are based in the world. Today's architects are building upon Italy's traditions in design and innovation with their unique visions of the future, and Italy is still contributing to the top echelons of contemporary architecture. Isplora is dedicated to architects around the world who want to continue learning from Italy; for those in love with Italy, who wish to travel and uncover the architectural beauty of a country alive with creativity."

We are a team of professional architects, documentary makers and web designers who share a common interest in the world of architecture, design and communication, but more importantly a passion for Italy and everything this incredible country has to offer. With years of experience in our individual fields we have come together to share our skills and create this unique project; a new way of exploring culture and innovation through contemporary architecture in Italy.

Our intention with Isplora is to provide a source of inspiration for architects across the world. Through our own curiosity about the world around us, we are compelled to encourage others to learn more about what is being created in Italy today. Before there is any filming or script writing, and well before the post production starts, our team works to select the most interesting new buildings in Italy, get to know the nuances of the site, question the architects, and learn more about the technologies and techniques that have been used.
