ALPHARETTA, GA, September 26, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- iVideosongs (www.ivideosongs.com) adds a boatload of bass to its catalog this week, with eight great titles for bass guitar: Jet's Are You Gonna Be My Girl; Otis Reading's Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay and Bon Jovi's Wanted Dead or Alive.

Also added to the catalog are Switchfoot's Dare You To Move; REM's Losing My Religion; Kansas' Carry On Wayward Son; Steely Dan's Rikki Don't Lose That Number; and Pat Benatar's Hit Me With Your Best Shot.

Each of these new songs is instructed by iVideosongs instructor and professional session bassist, Pat Malone

Jet's Are You Gonna Be My Girl was featured on their 2003 album, Get Born. iVideosongs shows how to play Are You Gonna Be My Girl's challenging bass line, including a left hand muting technique and its syncopated rhythms. Otis Redding recorded (Sittin' On) the Dock of the Bay on the 1968 album of the same name. The iVideosongs title for this R&B classic is very approachable, even for beginning-level players.

Bon Jovi recorded Wanted Dead or Alive on the 1986 album, Slippery When Wet. This iVideosongs title shows beginning-level players how to play the complete bass line of the song and demonstrates the best neck position to achieve the Bon Jovi tone. Dare You to Move is a modern hit from Switchfoot's 2005 album, The Beautiful Letdown. It's also a title well suited to beginning-level players, showing instruction for the complete song and a thorough explanation of rhythm and technique.

Losing My Religion was the monster hit from REM's 1991 album Out of Time. This iVideosongs title shows how to play the bass line to create a hook over just a few chords. Kansas debuted Carry On Wayward Son on their 1975 album, Leftoverture. iVideosongs shows how to play the intricate riffs and changing rhythmic feels that make Carry On Wayward Son a challenge for many bass players.

Steely Dan recorded Rikki Don't Lose That Number on the 1974 album, Pretzel Logic. This iVideosongs title shows how to play Rikki Don't Lose That Number's challenging bass lines, which make use of much of the fret board. Hit Me With Your Best Shot, from Pat Benatar's 1980 album, Crimes of Passion, features the complete bass part from this rock radio hit.

Acoustic and/or electric guitar instruction of each of these songs is also available in the iVideosongs catalog. And each of these great bass guitar titles feature embedded tablature for each video segment.

iVideosongs shows aspiring musicians everywhere how to play their favorite songs completely and accurately, with the instruction provided by the original artists who wrote and performed them, and also from expert instructors.

iVideosongs customers can choose a skill level and genre, and then download the high- def titles to their personal computer, iPod or other device. Each song title is presented in chapter format, so aspiring musicians learn the introduction, verse, chorus, bridge, outro and other elements in bite-size pieces and at their own pace. Each title also includes a master performance so customers can compare their progress against the song, and tablature notation to aid in learning.
