In addition, Dr. Lossos has served as the director of the lymphoma program and head of the hematological site disease group with the Miller School of Medicine since 2006. Dr Lossos is also a Professor of Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology with the University of Miami for nearly 10 years.

He has also served as an advisory board member with the Lymphoma Research Foundation since 2009. In an effort to remain alert of recent developments in the field of medical research, Dr. Lossos maintains involvement with the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society for Clinical Investigation, American Society of Hematology, and Israeli Medical Association. He has been recognized as a reviewer for numerous medical publications, as well as an invited speaker at various medical conferences.
Prior to pursuing a career in medicine, Dr. Lossos attended The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he received an MD from the Hadassah Medical School in 1987. During the next four years, he served in the Israel Defense Forces, where he was recognized as a major, division physician, and head of the military clinic and hospital. Upon concluding his military service, Dr. Lossos returned to the Hadassah Medical Center, where he completed a residency in internal medicine from 1991 to 1995. He holds permanent certification in hematology and internal medicine through the Israeli Board of Certification.
Throughout the course of his vocation, Dr. Lossos has been featured in a wide range of honors publications, including Who's Who in America. He has been listed among America's Top Doctors by Castle Connolly since 2005. In recognition of his contributions to the field of medical research, Dr. Lossos was selected as the recipient of the Outstanding Cancer Research Award by the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in 2012.
