SAN DIEGO, CA, October 12, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jackson Design & Remodeling (JDR), an award-winning San Diego-based design build remodeling firm, is proud to announce that Senior Interior Designer Alison Green has been selected as a National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) "Thirty Under 30" honoree for 2018. The prestigious NKBA Thirty Under 30 recognizes 30 outstanding young professional designers from across the country who possess the passion, creativity and brilliance to be the voice of the next generation of kitchen and bath experts. The winners will be honored on stage during the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Orlando, Fla. Jan. 9, 2018.

NKBA is adding a new element to this year's "Thirty Under 30" awards. Prior to KBIS 2018, the newly inducted honorees will be assigned into six groups of five, with each team collaborating on a "Product of the Future." The teams will present their creations on the KBISNeXT stage on Jan. 10. Thirty Under 30 honorees will also: present a Continuing Education class at a local NKBA chapter, attend virtual webinars with the NKBA, recruit a future nominee for the NKBA Thirty Under 30, and act as ambassadors for the NKBA and its Thirty Under 30 program.

"This group of outstanding young professionals represents the future of the industry," said Bill Darcy, NKBA Chief Executive Officer. "NKBA is proud to recognize them as part of this key program, and we're looking forward to hearing their insightful presentations in Orlando. The Thirty Under 30 honor will help them as they continue to develop their careers, and we are happy to be a part of recognizing the next generation of industry leaders."

Alison Green joined Jackson Design and Remodeling immediately following her graduation from the Design Institute of San Diego, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design. She was inspired to pursue a career in design from a young age when her family moved into a new house that required a whole home design and she discovered how much she enjoyed creating from a blank slate. Alison's Creative Modern Farmhouse kitchen won a 2017 CotY (Contractor of the Year) award from NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry). The first kitchen she ever designed, a Timeless Modern kitchen, won a National Chrysalis Award in 2015 and a Master Design Award in 2014. Alison is certified by the National Kitchen and Bath Association as an Associate Kitchen & Bath Designer (AKBD) and is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).

"Alison is a talented, imaginative and diligent professional who has demonstrated an ability to create nationally recognized, award-winning designs while also mentoring others, volunteering in her community, and dedicating herself to the success of her team as a whole," said President and CEO of Jackson Design and Remodeling, Todd Jackson.

"We are proud of Alison's rapid development and growth at JDR and excited to see what her future holds. She truly is exceptional and we are happy to see her honored for her talent and hard work with the Thirty Under 30 award."
