Jacqueline Fazekas-Woodcock Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Retail Merchandising

    FRISCO, TEXAS, February 25, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jacqueline Fazekas-Woodcock, Vice President and Divisional Merchandise Manager for J.C. Penney, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in retail merchandising.

For the past three years, Ms. Fazekas-Woodcock has served J.C. Penney as a vice president and divisional merchandise manager. Her current responsibilities include supervising a team of 30 professionals in her division, providing her team with support, and removing roadblocks and solving problems so that her team can perform to its maximum capacity. She specializes in the areas of Home merchandising and product/assortment development.

Ms. Fazekas-Woodcock started in the retail industry at 16 years of age and knew at that time that this was her passion, and the industry that she was meant to be in. She views her current position and her years in retail as a playing field, where she loves the work that she does. She has garnered a reputation of distinction for her outstanding efforts, earning an Impact Merchant of the Year Award from Home World in 2002, 2003 and 2006, and Top Buyer Award from the Home Furniture Network in 1996 and 2002. She is also recognized for her brand management accomplishments with Canopy brand.

She attributes her success to being a student of retail and the business; she was always interested in learning more about the industry as she moved up into upper management and administration. In the years to come, she plans on eventually moving into the role of senior vice president or general manager for merchandising with either a retail organization or manufacturer.
