JAM Paper Hopes to Revive Handwritten Letters Through Grassroots Campaign

JAM gives out free cards and envelopes to promote hand written letters

NORHTVALE, NJ, April 24, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- JAM Paper & Envelope (www.jampaper.com), a leader in specialty office and stationery supplies, is making a tribute to Letter Writing Month. Today, JAM team members drove around town and placed blank cards and envelopes on cars, in library books, and anywhere else that could encourage the public to write their own hand-written letters. In an attempt to bring back times when letters meant writing out each word instead of typing them, JAM hopes to remind the public that the human touch has profound impacts.

The idea was hatched by marketing coordinator Caitlin Hare, who was partly inspired by Frank Warren's Postsecret, a movement about sharing secrets and the impact of words. Caitlin states, "I've always been adamant about the value of hand-written letters and wanted to remind people about the beautiful simplicity of them." . When asked what makes hand-written letters so important, Caitlin stated, "These hand written pieces become moments in time and are hard to part with. There is just this intrinsic value you can't throw away. Emails never have that same worth."

If you agree with JAM's mission, grab a pen and write that thank you, congrats, or simple hello, on your favorite JAM stationery. The team members would love to see your creations so don't forget to post your letter with the hashtag: #jamletters!
