About James Allen Marlow
Mr. Marlow graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major, Spanish and Economics, in 1976, Phi Beta Kappa. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1979.
He served as a military attorney in the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General Corps from 1980-1984, being stationed in Mississippi, Korea, and Germany. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he worked for an American law firm in Frankfurt, Germany, before taking a civilian attorney position with the Seventeenth Air Force at Sembach Air Base, Germany. For 10 years Mr. Marlow was the Chief of International Law for the Air Force in Central Europe.
After the Seventeenth Air Force was inactivated in 1996, Mr. Marlow established Marlow Forensic Genealogy in Crossville, Tennessee, an international probate and genealogical search firm. He remained in the Air Force Reserve, retiring in 2010 in the grade of Colonel. Among his many decorations he was awarded the Legion of Merit.
