NEWNAN, GA, July 16, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James B. Jordan, CPA, Global Leadership and Financial Consultant for an eponymous accounting company, has been named a Worldwide Branding Professional of the Year in Accounting and a member of Worldwide Who's Who. While inclusion in Worldwide Branding is an honor, only small selections of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Branding membership.

Drawing on 30 years of global experience in consulting and accounting, Mr. Jordan is recognized for his work as a global leadership and financial consultant with his own accounting company, which provides auditing and consulting services. During the course of his daily routine, he provides accounting, consulting, and auditing services for churches nationally and internationally enabling transparency of leadership and financial matters leading to open and transparent processes for a greater feeling of trust and willingness on the part of donors. Prior to forming his own company, Mr. Jordan was employed by IBM, where he founded, grew, and led two worldwide consulting practices with clients on six continents for IBM Global Services. While at IBM he conducted speaking engagements in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Japan, Malaysia, the Peoples Republic of China, and the Czech Republic. After founding the IBM Global Learning Center of Excellence, he now uses his educator skills to teach at General Theological Seminary (New York), Emory University (Atlanta), and the University of Southern California (Berkeley). He also served as the global industry director for the consumer goods industry at Accenture. After his career in global corporations, he started his own accounting consultancy, and has conducted numerous additional speaking engagements.

Mr. Jordan is also the teacher, speaker, and author of "Financial Management for Episcopal Parishes," which defines the roles of the clergy, staff, governance boards, and volunteers in the establishment of a transparent and functioning set of checks and balances that can be implemented by any size church and any denomination. The book is laced with real-life examples of processes and procedures that did and did not work, which helps readers to identify with their own church experience and apply the information to their own setting. The book, which can be found on Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com, and most religious bookstores, was developed due to Mr. Jordan's desire to help executive church leaders be more proactive in the management of the gifts given to greatly reduce the chance of fraud of the church's finances.

Mr. Jordan excels in his field due to a combination of his prior experiences in the industry and his educational background, which includes an executive MBA from Emory University, which he earned in 1988, and a Bachelor of Science in business administration and accounting from the University of South Carolina, and International Studies at the London Business School. A certified public accountant (CPA), certified fraud examiner (CFE), and a certified global management accountant (CGMA), Mr. Jordan remains connected to the industry through his various affiliations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Looking toward the future, he intends to connect with church leadership executives of all denominations for cultural change to understand the governing body's fiduciary liability to donors, taxation liability, and potential exposure for fraud, and the solutions thereto.
