James Kenneth Streem Named a Lifetime Achiever by Marquis Who's Who

James K. Streem has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in the music education industry



    TALLAHASSEE, FL, July 20, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to name James Kenneth Streem a Lifetime Achiever. An accomplished listee, James K. Streem celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. Following his graduation from the Juilliard School where he received both a Bachelors and Masters degree, he joined the piano faculty of the Cleveland Music School Settlement. The same year he received a laureate in the Franz Liszt Sesquicentennial Piano Competition which resulted in several all Lizst recitals in coordination with Columbia Pictures movie "Song without End." This led to appearances with symphony orchestras in Cleveland, Detroit, Miami, Boston and New York. His Carnegie debut was in 1966.

In 1968 he joined the Florida State University where he remained for 38 years, 22 as head of the Keyboard area. During this time he appeared as a recitalist throughout North America and as a Steinway Artist appearing at the Steinway Galleries in New York, Cleveland, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Tallahassee.

During his career he has authored several articles and made his mark as a composer with his "Fugue for Cocktail Harpsichord" which is featured in the movie "Double Stop."
