With seven years of experience as the president of Sevier Citizens for Clean Air and Water, Mr. Kennon is highly qualified in non-profit management. His organization's objective is to represent private citizens in public energy-related issues and provide various environmental protection services. Mr. Kennon is currently taking action to prevent the implementation of a coal fired plant in the valley and will be conducting a conference on alternative energy in the local area of Sevier County. In addition to his important work in the non-profit sector, Mr. Kennon has taught fifth and sixth graders for 15 years. He was also a professional firefighter for 20 years and he notes that his success in all of his endeavors is due to his positive attitude.

Mr. Kennon received his Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies at Sonoma State University in 1979 and holds a Vocational Education Degree in Woodworking from San Francisco State University as well as an Associate of Arts in Fire Science from the College of Marin.
