    MINNEAPOLIS, MN, May 07, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James Damian, Chairman of the Board at Buffalo Wild Wings, Principal of James Damian Brand Integration Services, and CEO of Dotopia LLC, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in retail and brand integration.

Mr. Damian started his retail career as a window designer at B. Altman on Fifth Avenue in New York City 40 years ago. Today, he is an esteemed executive who holds a number of roles. He became a board member of leading restaurant chain Buffalo Wild Wings in 2006, and two years later he was named chairman of the board. In 2010, he became a board member of The Dotopia Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to the mission of creating a world with "more givers, giving more." This led to the creation of Dotopia LLC, the business arm dedicated to creating a for profit B2B and C2B model that empowers employees and individuals to be giving ambassadors, creating new legions of philanthropists throughout companies and consumers throughout the world. He was named CEO of Dotopia LLC in September 2013. Mr. Damian is a values-based leader who emphasizes truth and possibility. He provides strategic planning, advisory consulting, design thinking, and leadership through inspiration and guidance.

Prior to his current positions, Mr. Damian was the senior vice president and chief design officer for Best Buy, where he stayed for more than 12 years. He is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, where he majored in exhibition design and visual presentation. Over the course of his career, he has continued to work with and be inspired by leaders in the retail field, including Ms. Dawn Mello of B.Altman & Co., President of Bergdorf Goodman and Gucci, Gene Moore, Design Director of Tiffany &Co., as well as Mickey Drexler, the Chairman and CEO of J.Crew. These leaders were a major influence in his career, and he in turn has dedicated himself to mentoring, inspiring and leading young professionals today. He is an active keynote speaker on topics such as higher purpose leadership, innovation and design as the economic value equation of our time.

Mr. Damian is a recipient of the Markopoulos Award, the highest award in retail store design. He has also been inducted into the In-Store Marketing Institute's Hall of Fame. He has received Best Buy's Culture of Innovation Award for Leadership and Vision in Concept Development and Execution. Mr. Damian is also a board member of the Minnesota Orchestra, as well as MOSS Inc., an Exhibition Design and Manufacturing company to the Exhibit, Event and Retail Industries. However, Mr. Damian states that his greatest accomplishment has been his 40-year marriage to his wife Deborah, who is also an FIT graduate. The couple has three children.
