Non-Profit Volunteer Service Specialist with the Corporation for National and Community Service

NATCHEZ, MS, November 7, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Janet E. McNeely, Director of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of the Corporation for National and Community Service, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of community service.

A community service advocate, Ms. McNeely coordinates all aspects of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, nationally acclaimed for its involvement in organizing seniors and retired individuals to participate in volunteer service. She is responsible for evaluating and recording volunteer hours, writing progress reports to be submitted to the government and organizing seminars regarding elderly crime prevention, fraud and scams. In addition to her work with the Corporation, Ms. McNeely teaches adult education courses and has authored several newspaper articles.

A certified educator, Ms. McNeely is a former high school English teacher. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education from the University of Memphis in 1974 and is a former president of the Pilot Club. She is the chairwoman of the Triad Program and is a member of the National Association of RSVP Directors and Lions Clubs International.
