Janice Doreen Sherk Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Logistics Security Administration

Janice Sherk, who has 22 years of experience in her field and five years in her current role, is responsible for overseeing loss and investigation procedures for misplaced packages, planning and developing strategies for improving logistics, and regulating airline participation for one of Canada's leading international shipping companies. Though her work partially includes mentoring others within her organization and ensuring that the packages we send to family, colleagues and associates everywhere reach their destinations on time and in pristine condition, a large portion of Ms. Sherk's duties involves working with the government agencies in Canada and the U.S. to ensure compliance to the ever evolving regulatory programs surrounding the transportation/logistic industry.

Ms. Sherk received an associate degree in business administration from Brock University in 1982, as well as a certification in cargo loss prevention. Also a licensed broker, she is a member of the National Air Cargo Security Training and Awareness Commission and an executive co-chairman of United Way of Canada. In recognition of her company's participation, UPS Canada received a Thanks A Million Award in 2008, an annual honor presented to organizations that show their support and generosity through combined efforts and donations.
