In 1998, Ms. Larocque incorporated Spirit Staffing & Consulting Inc., a staffing agency that provides cost-effective employment solutions and specializes in providing culturally diverse employees to private and multinational corporations. As the President of the company, which offers temporary, contract, permanent and executive search services, Ms. Larocque is still heavily involved with the day-to-day operations of the company and is responsible for overseeing marketing, sales and accounting functions. She first gained professional experience in the financial planning field, but later realized that she did not find the work rewarding; she subsequently managed a career and employment center for eight years before starting her own business. In addition to running Spirit Staffing & Consulting Inc., Ms. Larocque established Fast Labour Solutions Ltd., in 2000, to provide industrial services, including certified Journeymen and skilled tradespeople and in 2002, opened a certified safety training division. In order to reach a larger client base, she opened an additional branch in Edmonton, Alberta and in September of 2011 an office in Brandon, Manitoba will be launched.

Ms. Larocque is a member of the Metis Nation of Alberta, the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business, the Alberta Construction Safety Association and Access Employment Services. She was honored with an entrepreneurial award from the Alberta Chamber of Commerce earlier this year. In 2009, she received a Vendor Excellence Award from Shell Canada for providing outstanding services.
