About Sandra Post
Sandra is a long time member of the Ladies Professional Golf Association. She was the first Canadian to join the LPGA tour and competed for over 15 years. She won 8 times, including the LPGA Championship, a major (still the youngest, man or woman to win a Major Golf Tournament) and the Dinah Shore Tournaments back to back in '78 and '79. She placed 2nd twenty times, including a US Open.
Besides teaching golf at the Sandra Post School of Golf, she is a golf commentator for CTV and TSN. Sandra has been featured on the Golf Channel's Academy Live, co-authored "Sandra Post and Me" and has produced 2 golf videos, "Getting Started" and "Around the Green". She is also a coach and mentor to several Canadians who have received U.S. College scholarships.
In 2003 the Government of Canada presented Sandra with its highest honour, the Order of Canada. Sandra is a member of five Hall of Fames, including the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame, the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame, the Ontario Sports and Golf Halls of Fame and the Oakville Sports Hall of Fame. She is a featured speaker at many events and travels across Canada presenting golf clinics for major corporations and charitable events. As a member of the Jazz Design team, Sandra has worked on developing a women's golf club line that will fulfill the requirements for the women golfer of today.
