/24-7PressRelease/ - AMMAN, JORDAN, June 26, 2008 - Stemming from its belief in economic development as a goal achieved by enhancing social progress levels, JCBank is effectuating its vision that goes beyond making profit..
To this effect, JCBank recently made a generous donation for the Jordan University Hospital. The donation was made in support of the hospital management in their quest to equip the different hospital wards with state of the art medical equipment. With this generous gesture, the Bank added yet another achievement to its long track record of social works in Jordan.
The General Manager of JCBank Dr. Jawad Al Hadid stressed on the institutional role of the Bank as a socially responsible citizen and catalyst for economic growth. To this end, he said, "JCBank launches initiatives that surpass the expectations often attributed to the works of financial institutions. The Bank is expanding its contribution to include social, cultural and health activities".
He also added, "Our donation to Jordan University Hospital was made as a means for strengthening our partnership with the private and the public sectors. We are happy to support medical institutions and to contribute to their missions for providing quality medical services to all citizens. JCBank is aware of the hospital's need to modernize its equipment, in addition to enhancing the skills of its medical cadre. Our initiative will not be the last, as we hope to help the hospital to maintain its pioneering position locally and regionally".
From his end the General Manager of the Hospital, Dr. Abd Al-Kareem Al-Qudah expressed his gratitude to the Bank for having made this generous donation. Seizing the occasion, he emphasized the leading role that the Bank had played in Jordan's social growth.
He also said, "The hospital needs to periodically acquire new medical equipment to respond to its patients needs. We also need to ensure that the available surgical equipment be up to our medical standards. This is also true for our inventory of nursing disposable materials. These materials and devices are very expensive; JCBank's donation came in time to meet a large part of our needs. We hope that the rest of the banking and financial institutions in the Kingdom follow suit".
It is important to note that JCBank's policy of social responsibility contributes to the development of different sectors, especially vital sectors such as health and education. This initiative in particular serves as a continuation to other te ban has adopted in several sectors including the educational , medical social and others.
