With more than 35 years of professional experience in education and mental health, Ms. Gant is uniquely able to bridge the fields of education and mental health for children on the autism spectrum. In addition to her school district work as Autism Specialist, she is developing a private therapy and consulting practice in Seattle. She designs and leads social groups for children and teenagers with Asperger Syndrome.
Certified in special education, Ms. Gant received a Master of Arts in Counseling in 2002 and a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education in 1980. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from New York University in 1968. Her professional affiliations include membership in the Child Therapy Association of Seattle, the Autism Society of America, and the American Psychoanalytic Association.
