Jean Luena Mestres Sulc Named a Lifetime Achiever by Marquis Who's Who

    SAINT HELENA ISLAND, SC, August 30, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to name Jean L.M. Sulc a Lifetime Achiever. An accomplished listee, Ms. Sulc celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. An American lobbyist and consultant for many years, Ms. Sulc has maintained the role of president of EdgeSystem.XXI in Washington and South Carolina since 1996, has been previously recognized for her work as manager of federal relations and government affairs representative for OXY USA, Inc. during the 1980s and 1990s. Before her time with those establishments, Ms. Sulc worked as assistant director international for Cities Service Oil Gas Corporation from 1980 to 1981, as program director for the Council for International Urban Liaison, and consultant for the City and County of Denver's office of policy analysis in the 1970s.

Receiving a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Tufts University, Ms. Sulc first became a member of the staff of the CIA (Clandestine Service), before eventually interning for Adams County Planning Department in Brighton, Colo. Later completing a Master in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Colorado Denver, and educated with a real estate license in the state of Virginia, her wealth of knowledge has spanned more than 50 years.

Some of the highlights of Ms. Sulc's career involved serving as a volunteer on the Reagan/Bush and Bush/Quayle presidential campaigns and inaugural committees in Washington from 1984 to 1989. She also served as president of the Hale Foundation, Nathan Hale Institute from 1984 to 1985, was chairman of the government affairs committee for L.P. Gas Clean Fuel Coalition from 1990 to 1992, and served as a member of the national panel of consumer arbitrators for the Better Business Bureau since 1991.

Some of her major achievements include: First Woman (and Minority) to:
1) head Washington, DC, Government Affairs Office of API companies (oil and gas)
2) chair Savannah River Site (SRS), Citizens Advisory Board (CAB), Aiken, SC and
3) chair Beaufort County Board of Elections and Voter Registration (of county and probably of the State of South Carolina)

A former member of the board of directors, second vice president, and emeritus of the American League of Lobbyists (Washington, D.C.), Ms. Sulc also served as a member and eastern regional advisor for the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI). Furthermore, Ms. Sulc is a former member of the Greater Beaufort Chamber of Commerce and Psi Chi.

A minority intern grantee of the Denver Regional Council Governments, from 1974 to 1976, and a recipient of a Presidential Citation by the National Propane Gas Association in 1992, Ms. Sulc was also named to approximately 20 editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of American Women. Married to Lawrence Bradley Sulc for 33 years, now widowed, she enjoys going skiing and sport shooting in her free time.
